Hey guys!
Okay, today we are going to talk about five quick healthy breakfast ideas that every busy Mom needs. We are all tight on time and most of us want to start the day with a decent meal. Well, keep reading to get some ideas, but first coffee!
1. Purely Elizabeth Oatmeal
This oatmeal is so tasty! And it has great ingredients too! I love a good quick and healthy breakfast on the go, and Purely Elizabeth’s on the go cups are perfect! There are a bunch of different flavors and most of them include ingredients like gluten free oats, chia seeds, quinoa flakes and more. Purely Elizabeth also has things like pancake and waffle mix, granola and some other great breakfast options!
2. Avocado Sourdough Toast
I love EVERYTHING avocado, so of course avocado toast makes the list! Sourdough bread is bread of choice because of the way the bread is made it is a healthier choice. Because sourdough is fermented it provides a healthy bacteria and can be great for your gut health! Avocados are so easy to have on hand and make for a hearty breakfast. I love to add some extra virgin olive oil to the toast, spread on the avocado and sprinkle with some salt and pepper! If your looking for healthy breakfast ideas with eggs, adding a poached egg or two on top of the toast is another way I love to eat avocado toast.
3. Hard Boiled Eggs
Okay, talking about eggs, hard boiled eggs are another on the go healthy breakfast idea. I love having hard boiled eggs in the fridge for when I’m in a rush to get out the door or the morning has been super busy. You can make them even more convenient by pre-peeling them. My eggs of choice are pasture raised eggs. This means the chickens have access to a pasture to forage from all year long. There have been studies done that show pasture raised eggs contain more omega-3, vitamins E and D and more beta-carotene.
4. Smoothie
Smoothies really are one of my favorite ways to start the day. I love that you can change up the flavors, use different ingredients and feel good about what I’m eating. One of my favorite smoothies is a green smoothie. I know they are not for everyone but when you add peanut butter, cinnamon and fruit to some greens it really is tasty! My favorite fruits to use in smoothie recipes are frozen mango, frozen blueberries, frozen mixed berries and bananas. Plus, they are great for your little ones too!
5. Yogurt
Yogurt is a great quick healthy breakfast idea! It is so versatile. For instance, you can add fruit, granola, seeds or nuts or a combination of things! Yogurt is another on the go breakfast that you can grab very quickly. Some of the main reasons I love yogurt are for the health benefits it offers. Like sourdough yogurt is a fermented food which means yeast and carbs are converting into alcohol or acids. Fermented foods have beneficial probiotics and are associated with a wide range of health benefits.
Well, there you have it! Five quick healthy breakfast ideas. These are great for busy Mommas looking for tastier breakfast ideas when time is so limited! However, there are ideas for everyone whether you need on the go ideas or just breakfast foods that are more on the healthy side. I hope you guys enjoy breakfast!
