Let’s chat natural skin care! I have compiled a list of my top 6 natural skin care products that I use every day. These products have become a part of my everyday skincare routine because they really have made a difference with my skin! Most of these products I either get from Young Living (read more about why here), or I DIY them. I am super passionate about living a non-toxic lifestyle and using natural skin care products is one of the ways I do that!
1. Satin Mint Face Wash
I use the satin mint face wash twice a week to exfoliate. The little beads in this face scrub are made from apricot seed powder instead of the plastic microbeads to exfoliate. It also has peppermint essential oil which leaves your face feeling tingly fresh.
2. Mirah Luminous Cleansing Oil
The Mirah face cleanser is what I use every night to take my makeup off. Instead of using chemical filled makeup removing wipes, I rub my face with 4-5 pumps of the cleansing oil. I then splash water and continue rubbing in the cleansing oil. This step really helps the oil break up the makeup and cleanse your skin. Afterward, I go in and wash my face with my DIY facewash.
3. DIY Facewash
I LOVE this facewash and mostly use it at night to wash my face after using the Mirah cleansing oil. I will include the recipe to make it below! Make sure you use a foaming soap jar and because it has some citrus oils in it, I wouldn’t use it and go spend hours in the sun. I also only use Young Living’s essential oils because of their quality and Seed to Seal promise. You can find out more about why I chose Young Living here.
Recipe:
1/2 Cup Dr. Bronner’s unscented castile soap
1 tsp of jojoba oil
5 drops each of Frankincense, Lemon, and Lavendar essential oil
*Combine all ingredients in the foaming soap bottle and fill the rest with water!
4. Bloom Brightening Essence
The Bloom brightening essence infuses moisture into the skin, brightens and hydrates to give your skin a natual glow. It really helps to restore even out your skin tone. I apply the essence after I take a shower in the morning and after I wash my face at night.
5. DIY Glow Serum
This is DIY recipe which is AMAZING! This serum is so easy to make and works wonders for your skin! I add a few drops to my nightly moisturizer and rub it in all over my face and down my neck. It really helps to soothe skin and smooth out those fine lines and blemishes. Add the following ingredients to a 1 oz glass dropper bottle.
Recipe:
15 drops Lavender
15 drops Frankincense
10 drops Valor
Fille the rest with carrier oil of your choice! (I used jojoba oil)
6. Young Living’s Lip Balm
Okay, so I am a little bit of a chapstick/lip balm fanatic! I cannot leave the house without it and have one almost everywhere. I found the YL lip balm almost a year ago and LOVE this stuff! There are so many different flavors, and they leave your lips feeling soft and silky. What makes them even better are they are made with natual ingredients like coconut, jojoba and wolfberry seed oils,
